Vlaander Breed Rules

I want this to be a fun and relaxed breed, so not a lot of rules here, but a few basic guidelines:

CREATION/OWNERSHIP:

:bulletorange: This is a semi-open breed, meaning you MAY create your own standard coloured imports [see here]. Rare imports may only be created by authorized personnel.

:bulletorange: Import designs may not be changed without authorization, and the designer MUST be credited on the reference sheet.

:bulletorange: Once you own a Vlaander, you own it. It will not reclaim under any circumstances. You can trade, give, or sell to whoever you want for any currency.

BREEDING:

:bulletorange: Breeding is at your discretion. Line breeding is discouraged unless the common ancestor is at least 3 generations back (G.grandparents or more) but is not prohibited.

:bulletorange: Offspring may be designed by you, but must follow parents genetics and fit breed guidelines (feel free to ask if you need help).

:bulletorange: The Vlaander may be crossed with other breeds, but resulting offspring will not be registerable with the Vlaander Horse Registry, with the following exception.

<< exception >>

Vlaanders crossed with foundation breeds*, may be registered as Vlaanders as long as:

- they are at least 50% Vlaander bloodlines,

- fit the breed standard and

- and complete a Vlaander breed inspection with a qualified rating of "Approved" or higher.

[ *foundation breeds: Noriker / Friesian / Haflinger / Lipizzaner / Knabstrupper / Morgan ]

The Vlaander Horse Breed

VlaanderBanner

A baroque-style European breed, the Vlaander Horse was developed over centuries as a working horse, with a touch of "flair". The heavier "classic" Vlaander is still beloved in Europe as a stylish carriage and dressage horse with all its original sensibilities, class and usefulness. The "modern" Vlaander is a slightly sportier version of the breed, and while it retains the original qualities, these horses branch out successfully into a variety of competitive disciplines. To learn more about this versatile, elegant breed, check out the links and information below.

Beautiful breed! And finally one that's not so big! (like 1.70m+) I love the smaller breeds. Uhg, I want a custom so bad, but I have too many horses already D:

Edit: Forgot I'm still logged in on my design acc xD I'm EmmaVZ
Thank you! And yes - I think a lot of people don't realize how big a 1.7m horse really is!  :) My dressage lesson horse was that tall, but all of my personal horses have been under 1.5m, which was still plenty of horse for me (and much easier to saddle/bridle/mount!)
Yes indeed! I'm not small myself, but when I stand next to a 1.70 horse, it's still so big! And with all the dressage forses being so big, I can understand people would want them in harpg too, but meh xD

Btw, could it also be possible to breed a foal from 2 excisting Vlaanders from others and then design it myself? Just looking around for possibilities haha xD
Yup, you can definitely breed and design a baby yourself. Although, if you know exactly what you want, note the group - I have a free "hack" for you. ;)
