Deathchurch-February: My Gallery Banner Challenge

Good Evening to you all,

First and foremost, I'd love to welcome quite a few new members ever since the last challenge, I'm glad that some of you showed up your work, and at this point I'd like to remind you to submit your art to your OWN GALLERY and that's what this challenge will be all about. So I hope you're in a creative mood.

If you ever ventured as far as clicking on GALLERY of the DeathChurch group (I hope most of you have), you will see... Galleries... Duh. What distinguishes us from other Groups, is that besides several specified Galleries at the beginning - such as: Featured, Challenges, Literature, Photography and Collaborations - Individual galleries subsequently follow, at random, however, discriminating against inactive group members, starting from the most generous to the group, and immensely prolific.

Therefore, not only I'd love to congratulate and express gratitude towards yesa1971:

for the abundance of nightmares submitted almost each and every day since joining, but also I'd like you to check out yesa1971 gallery (link), in order to see how SUBGALLERIES withing PERSONAL GALLERY are created; (maybe) one day you'll submit much more art (I'd love you tae), then - I'll happily provide you with your own Subgalleries within the Gallery...

Another reason I'm mentioning yesa1971: If you look at the Gallery Images, each Gallery is represented by 1 artwork deemed significant and extraordinary, not a random choice, but a representing signifier. At the moment of writing this challenge yesa1971 is the only group member with his own, personal Banner, which - as you can see - says "Aggressive Art", and if you enter his world of magnificent, morbid and ethereal apparitions, he will welcome you with a photograph of his very self, too.

I understand some of us are schiz - I'm not expecting selfies. More, I'm urging you that if you have a 'good day' and decide to share it, think it through. No one knows your own anxiety/para/delusions more than you, and I wish no detriment to any of you, my friends. It's purely an extremely personal - well thought - choice, that I'd welcome, but would never request or insist upon. Some of you post own faces, I'm one of these people, believing - like a fool - that selfies will attract people to see my art, since this is - ahem - an art website, or whatever is left of it. Our group is the living, one of the last bastions of proof that DA used to be for sharing art. : sad face :

What I'm requesting, though, is a BANNER that will replace the signified, the Individual Gallery Image. Treat your future banner as something representative of your art. Ask yourself:

-what does my art truly signify to me, and if I were to put it in one or two words, where would the lexical signifier take me? -

Would it be your DeviantArt Name? Or something else? Maybe a DADAIST statement? (pssst @fuzzstatik ), or maybe the name of your beloved pet, a tribute? Ohh, possibilities are endless.

And don't worry if you don't want your own gallery - simply submit your favourite work(s) to me, and I'll happily create one, as per Disclaimer on the main page.

How does it sound?

All the best to you all, winter has been harsh and unforgiving, so I'm very glad some of you started noticing it's nearing it's well deserved end (pssst @Blackbirdmotel )
