I've never attended a creative class of any kind, tbh... I always worried that it would be too restrictive, and I don't think there is a right or wrong to create things. Just my opinion. I can still see how it might help but I also couldn't afford it anyway, so idk, I am a bad example. xD
No worries! Classes are not for everyone. My first class I didn't know what to expect - I really liked all of the classes I have taken personally, but I'm also somebody who both follows my heart, and follows my gut in my writing. A lot of my classes haven't been overly tight about what is expected, and some have even allowed gore or sexual content, if it were favorable to the writing / art form. I take more literature classes than drawing classes, because I'm slightly more serious about my writing than my art. <3
I've attended choir and art classes in middle school, art and creative writing in high school, took Illustration, Creative Writing, and now - Fantasy Fiction in college. I'm going for a Creative Writing degree, but I haven't gotten to graduate school yet - and I've also attended some dA-run online courses for writing, as well as an online Webinar run by an author - I also attended some writing related workshops when attending a local writing event in my city. Also, a lot of self-educating and reading. So basically everything on the list - mostly writing XD I use every chance I get to learn more about it! I was just curious to know if other people have taken classes!
