I forgot to say what I was going to say XD - I say beta-read, try for publishing for a bit and if there's no bites, then post it :)

That sounds like a good idea. xD It was my original thought... though I get tempted to want to put it here on dA sometimes. If the publishing doesn't work out with an official publisher, I can always self publish and also place the work here. XD

Haha I know the feeling! I'm even thinking I might've put up too much of Greyheart and ruined my chances for publishing >.< But hopefully not.
And yeah definitely! ^^

I really doubt too many publishers will care if the prologue and first chapter were put online. A lot of authors do that. As long as you don't put anymore than that, you should be good :D

AAAAAAAAAAAAA okay XD

Yeah, that's what I thought. lol XD For some reason though, I've seen a writer get their work accepted which had previously been published here on dA? O_o I think it was with Harmony Press or something. lol XD That's actually one of the publishers I want to take my work to, not for that reason, but because they publish LGBT works ;P

Also, do you think a livestream is a good idea? XD

Must've been a really lenient publisher O.O For most of the ones I've looked at, it's one of the criterion that it must not have been previously published anywhere... cause it's to do with copyright. Once you post it to dA, dA owns it (I think? Might be different on dA idk)
What would the livestream involve?

Yeah... they are quite lenient XD I think they are a small publishing company, so I'm probably not going to get famous with them or anything... lol One of my friends also had a mother who published - but due to significant health issues, she's been unable to continue the work.

I think that is the case from what I remember. Will avoid publishing it here, then. XD

Hmmm... I was thinking I could do a fun little livestream showcasing the progress of the novel, once I get to the editing stage. There, me and the group of people who join me, can give some feedback, and I can also help people out with their novels or something. lol XD Just something to show that I am indeed working on it ;P

I chose: Post it here, get feedback, and go for publishing.

Extra feedback never hurts. :meow: And a good prologue increases your chances to be noticed!

Thank you for voting!

I've considered this option many times, I guess I'm a little hesitant because some publishers really don't like it when your story has previously been on the web. It's a form of publishing. Maybe that's just me though XD I would love to do it this way, I just need to double check and make sure the publisher I want to go to, will allow that.

In a situation like this, probably private beta reader option would be better. :o
