Thank you <3 I find time for it, anyhow I'm already 4,000 words in, and it's only day 3! (Today I'll write 1,000 more! ) And the goal doesn't have to be 50,000. It can be less than that, like 20,000 or 10,000 words. Whatever works for you <3
One of these days I will do Nanowrimo, I'd love the challenge, but unfortunately I once again have bigger fish to fry, and the Dead Night sequel is already half done. Maybe next year, when I start my new novel
Good luck with your project nonetheless! I hope it goes well
Thank you <33 Good luck with your Dead Night project! I finally finished the first book, and it's excellent in my regards The characters really grow on you, and that's a good thing! I love the change that goes on in Cybelle ( I think that's how you spell her name? Haha) and the ending was sweetly shocking c: All in all, it was a fun read!
You're welcome, and thank you!! Thanks, that really means a lot! I'm really happy to hear that you enjoyed it!, (you know, you're one of few people who did spell her name exactly right, haha! I gave a lot of the characters alternate spelling so I don't mind when people get them wrong, I understand they can be a tad confusing xD) and great to hear you liked the ending, I always worried it got a little cheesy, but I guess that can be hard to avoid sometimes xD and I have such a soft spot for James and Cye, it could only end on that note xD
That said, I know it has it's flaws. I'm actually working on a second edition of book one to fix a few of them, so with any luck that'll be done soon xD I'm not changing much story wise, but I want book one to live up to book two, if you know what I mean.
You're so welcome! I really did enjoy it c: I can't wait to read more of your works! Yay, I spelled it right! Wooo yeah Yeah, I understand that. Although the opposite ( a sad ending) can really impact the reader in the wrong way if it's written incorrectly. I'm trying my best to write the Netheron Prequel's ending just right, but it's hard. It has a very sad, bittersweet ending, for a very bittersweet tale.
That's understandable <3 I know the feeling. I'm actually going to rewrite the entire first book to better reflect the prequel. Since my audience has changed, it's bound to change a little, though the main characters (Mae + Otto + Estelle, minus the addition of a few things with Estelle ) will still be the same as they were before. It's just that some of the plots as well as the world design need some changing, and a new character needs to be added into the world.
I'm so glad! I'll have to get cracking with book the second yeah, I don't think all of the DN series are going to have such upbeat endings, especially in the second half of the series some....nasty thing happen, is all I'm saying.... I'm sure you're doing great! A bittersweet ending is sometimes the perfect one, always depends on the tale I suppose
Yeah, I'm in pretty much the same boat. I'm about half way in on book two and I feel like its better written, and I want to add a few little things to book one to foreshadow what happens in book two (a couple of huge subplots happen that could do with an intro) and maybe bring forward a couple characters who faded into the background in book one. I mean in book two you Lizzie, Emma, Accalia and Lina are a bit more....involved and get a few reveals, so.
Aww thank you! It's not often I get to write a bittersweet ending~ so I'm really trying my best c: A lot of my style of writing is sad, because I make horrible things happen to my characters I guess I'm just a born tragedy writer, haha but I do try to include some scenes that are happy too~
The prequel definitely still needs work. I still need to fix Estelle and Marcilyn's relationship, and make the world more alive, and then I need to add in Estelle's family members and incorporate Marcilyn's own family as well as Otto's. My sequel is currently 17,000 words, and forever growing. I'm hardly even to the middle, hahaha It's going to be a huge book~ I did 2000 words before I even came home I bring my laptop with me everywhere I go, hehehe~ That's really cool though! I'm totally looking forward to it~
You're welcome, as I say I'm sure it will be brilliant but tragedy can be one of the most immersive things to read/write, because its so full of emotion! Aww, maybe you are! It's for the good of the story to be mean to your characters, right? ....right? Haha, I honestly hate doing horrible things to mine, but it has to be done...especially for Cye, her story in book 2 really hits home for me but I don't think the story as a whole would work if I side stepped the issue >.<
Wow, you really are ploughing through this one! Ah, no draft is ever perfect from the off, I'm sure it will be awesome when you're finoished. You can do it!
