*doubledit* I forgot her goggles... /facepalm
*edit 3* I mispelled a word And had to redraw the goggles again...
A much needed reference of Marcilyn Locket, Estelle personal assistant and romantic interest. She's rather grumpy in the lower right. It's my first time doing a decent ref for her, or any ref at all I personally love drawing her with her hair down c: She's always found tucking her hair behind her ears (except for the alternate hairstyle. )
Some bio information for her, again stolen from Toyhou.se:
Name: Marcilyn Locket
Personality: Overly cheerful, optimistic, happy, positive, naive, sensitive, clueless, a total wimp, gives in easily, people person, gets along with everyone, easily jealous but doesn't show it, hates being the third wheel, submissive, easy to convince, but loves everyone, believes in the best of people, very easily swayed.
Interests: Tinkering, studying, researching, shopping, talking, drawing scenery pictures, and motivating others.
Misc: Marcilyn is not quite as tomboy as Mae is, but she's still very much a tomboy. You'll rarely find her dressed up in dresses, and instead find her sporting her inventor clothes, even when she isn't working. She also doesn't believe in bustles, tailoring her gowns to fit her shapeless figure. She is definitely not an hourglass figure, she's much more of an square shaped. She is considered stronger than Otto, because of her work outs with tinkering and working on tough projects. Despite her naive behavior, she is not to be underestimated against, as her father is the greatest inventor of all of Heneurock.
Marcilyn at a Glance
Marcilyn is an inventor from the land of Heneurock who used to work with Princess Estelle. She is the antagonist of the sequel, until she converts sides with the princess, in an attempt to free herself from the enemy, who has attempted to brainwash her into believing Estelle is an evil person. She is also Estelle's potential love interest in the prequel, who's feelings have never entirely faded. In general, her significant other becomes Estelle, but the two of them have a completely rocky road in the process... filled with a lot of emotions, and everything that would keep them apart brings them together even more.
Marcilyn enjoys reading like Estelle, but she mainly reads nonfiction- she may be caught looking at documentaries or stories about people like her. She's highly knowledgeable in all that is strange to the Netheronians- as her country has much different laws and viewpoints than the Netheronians ever will. Marcilyn was taken in by Estelle when she was 14... and was even suspended one time by the Netheron queen for encouraging Estelle's "wild" behavior... but since Drusilla deems her valuable, Marcilyn has always been around, creating inventions.
Marcilyn betrays Estelle when the revolution forces her to hand over the locations of all her relatives, or face the extermination of herself. Marcilyn is the type of character who gives in easily- so this leads her to betray the one person she'd always loved. She later tells Estelle and Estelle kicks her out.
This leaves Marcilyn little choice but to be brainwashed into serving the revolution against Estelle. But one thing they don't know... is just how stubborn Marcilyn really is, to completely let go of the feelings she has for the princess.... and Estelle is just as stubborn, despite her tyrannical rule over the kingdom.
When they meet each other again, Marcilyn sides with a bigger problem... and they have no choice but to go at each other's throats. But neither one of them wants to fight each other.
So then... Marcilyn looks for a way out...
She looks different somehow in the alternate outfit
Haha, I can see why~ it's a different color scheme than the other one
but she's still "optmistic"...
Ohhhh shooooooot I spelled "optimistic" wrong! LOL Thanks for pointing that out c: I'll fix it when I have time to.
because they both really like to invent and the fact that they both have the same exact personality pretty much x'DD <33
she and estelle are looking super great !!~
And thank you c: I tried to make a really good reference for the two of them! There's more to come (when I can find time! )
