|One of my favorite colored-pencil works, this shows my idea of a truly natural way of recycling your Christmas wrappings.|
So, I've decided to start a new hashtag, #LittleFreeArt ...unless someone else already did; in that case, I'll just be adding to it. The idea is to make some kind of small artwork, no bigger than about a 5X7 canvas, and leave it someplace where people can see it and take it home. I thought it would be a simple, fun way to brighten someone's day. Everyone is welcome to join in!
Some suggestions are: decorated sticks, rocks, or driftwood; small canvas paintings; drawings/sketches; metal work art; small crocheted, knitted, or plush stuffies; embroidery/needlework; fridge magnets; wood etchings; whatever else you can think of!
I chose to paint rocks because I already have some paints, and rocks are plentiful, so I don't need to buy anything. ] I'm keeping the designs simple so that I can make a lot of them quickly between doing other things. The picture shows my first five. When I'm out and about, I'll take a couple with me and leave them where others can find them.
If your art is likely to be damaged by the weather, I recommend placing it in a plastic zipper baggie for protection.
