Hey everyone 👋 I’m writing this journal because I’m currently looking for better places to promote my original comic. It’s a dark fantasy +18 story about fox, wolf and gods— morally grey characters, heavier themes, and a tone that’s far from “safe” or mainstream. Unfortunately, Webtoon really disappointed me in many ways: algorithms, visibility, and how mature/darker projects are treated overall. So now I’m searching for alternatives. I’d love to hear your experiences: • Where do you personally promote your original comics? • Has anyone here found success outside of Webtoon? • Are platforms like X (Twitter) or Bluesky actually useful for comic creators? • Any niche sites, communities, or Discord servers worth checking out? • Do you think DeviantArt journals + galleries still work for promotion?
