In the beginning, we had so much hope and determination.
We were going to defeat this world together.
Yes, our love would bloom into a large orchid tree and shade our two hearts from war.
But we never would have come to realize that the only war was between us.
My ignorance and immaturity got the best of me,
And I didn't comprehend that I was slowly killing you.
I know it's not all my fault,
I've given you all I can offer from these hands of mine,
But now my hope and reassurance is running low,
Running in thin streams from between the spaces in my fingers.
