This is the first of many Illustrations planned that are based in Edinburgh’s Old Town with a dark Victorian Feel to them.

This picture was drawn using a traditional Pen and Ink illustration style with some outlandish elements creeping in.

The drawing is based on photographs taken on location (background) and from a model found here on deviantart stock images.
I would link to the image but for the sake of me I can’t find it again(I think I may have Googled it).
I will put it up as soon as I figure out whose image it is.
But a big thank you goes out to whoever’s work it is.

The images were drawn freehand in pencil then inked in later.

Note: This image is A3 and you can see a light line where I've joined the 2 scanned A4 images together.

This is... amazing! The Victorian feel is right on! This is so stunning! My gosh, I love it! I'm jealous of your traditional pen and ink style! I, too, draw in pen, but I need to practice much more before I can be this good!

Thank you for the Fav and for the lovely comment:)
Bakers Close can be a bit eerie at night, it is a strange and interesting place to see.
There is a low archway leading to a walled garden on the left hand side (not pictured between the stairs & the building that sticks out above the figure) I have photos of it that I may use for another drawing.
Thanks again.

Thank you very much for commenting on Bakers Close. I'm glad you liked the mixture of abstract and realism, It seems to fit well together and just work in this style of ink drawing. Your comments are really appreciated :)
