Lose Myself

I'm aching, trying so hard to watch the world spin without my sanity beginning to spin as well. I'm breaking, struggling to see my beauty without basing it off my own insecurities. Perhaps I've built myself a complex puzzle, and simply lost too many pieces. Perhaps I made my life a battle knowing I could never win. I'd rather lose myself than be lost. I'd rather stop looking both ways than be afraid. I used to fear shadows, and now, I wish to be one. I used to fear my disappearance, now I want to be gone. I'm aching. Hmm so I've always wondered if being an introvert is something we're given from nature or nurture. Since both my parents are very heavily involved in the science field, I would normally vote nature, but I think the way people treat you can really determine your personality as well.

If I had to stick a percentage on this, I'd say my introverted nature on DA is maybe 20% nature, 80% nurture, based on what I've experienced. If you're an introvert (or maybe even an extrovert), can you put a percentage on your personality?

*nature: by this, I mean our personality is something determined by our genetics -- look at your parents' personalities. Does your personality resemble theirs? (although, disclaimer: your parents could always teach/raise you to behave a certain way that by chance resembles their personality)
*nurture: by this, I mean our personality is determined by how we're grown up and what we've experienced throughout life. Have the way people treated you influenced how you approach people now?
