This 'quick' sketch was inspired by one of my all-time favourite works of art, Keith Thompson's Apollonian Wight: [link] I absolutely loved the backstory provided for the wight, which although short and restrained oozed unfathomable horror with every word.

If I were to do something similar for this undead astronaut, it would probably involve an expedition to the dark side of the moon that ends in fearful and mysterious circumstances following the first moon burial ever attempted...
