Black satin gothic corset

Another of corsets I made to order .
I have used a Victorian corset pattern and adjusted it to cinch the waist a bit more and also re-shaped the top.

I have used steel boning as in most of my corsets, to give it more shape and strength. The top and bottom edging is made in a beautiful plum satin, as my customer requested.
The corset is designed to reduce waist and give extra support to the bust area.

All my corsets are 3-4 layered. I use strong canvas to interline them and cotton drill for lining. The bones are inserted between the layers of fabrics, so there are no boning chanels on either side of the corset, unless designed outer boning chanels, usially for decorative purpose.

I use 2-part strong grommets (I do call them eyelets usually which is wrong), they are set between 2 rigid metal bones so the corsets can be tightened as much as desired without the edges of the corset bending or the grommets coming out of the fabric.
