I was born in Hong Kong in 1984 and had an interest in art since I was 2 years old - I have been gladly keeping up with it ever since. When I turned 5, I emigrated to the US with my family, and settled in Modesto, California - what I thought to be a pre-emptive escape from uncertainty when China reclaimed Hong Kong in 1997 turns out to simply be that my Grandma (residing in Modesto) wanted my Dad to live closer to her while she lives through her golden years.
I went from trudging through elementary school with so-so grades and a language barrier to eventually graduating with High Honors from Modesto High School's International Baccalaureate Program and getting accepted into UCSD's Bioengineering Program. After 2 years as a college undergrad I decided to leave behind thermodynamics and differential equations to pursue a career utilizing my artistic and creative skillsets professionally. I transferred to Art Institute of California, San Diego and ran through the Game Art and Design's 4-year program within 3 years. I graduated in 2008 with Honors and received my B.S. in GAD. Through a stroke of luck and good timing I managed to land a job in game development at my graduation portfolio show, and have been gladly keeping up with it ever since!
