Zariguya

The Zariguya is considered one of the most maternal of the creature kingdom. Despite its fierce feeding appendage the zariguya is completely herbivorous using its horned appendage to penetrate deep into the flesh of hard shelled fruit and scraping the flesh with their serrated cillia. Their offspring for the 1st 5 months of their lives will hook into specialized pouches, with their horned mouth, into nutrient glands where it will feed completely from its mother as well as be completely secure to her body. at this stage of development this brood of chicks will unhook, feed for itself and begin to explore away from its mother, yet will continue to stay with her for another 3 to 4 months.
