Calim VI: Leap of Faith by Vince-T Calim VI: Leap of Faith by Vince-T
This one concludes the Calim VI series. Originally the story would go one after this event, but I've decided that this is in fact a nice conclusion for the series.

Oh and before anybody intends to debate about jumping into hyperspace when within a planet's atmosphere, let's call it artistic freedom.

"That damn gravity is ripping us apart!"
Connor held on to his seat, his whole body was tense. Outside the view port, the Revan's hull was covered with burning breaches as though it had flown through a meteor shower. With every second more parts were ripped off the by now unshielded cruiser, and right now it was down to pure luck to decide if they would make it out of this in one piece.
"How long until we can make a safe jump?" He demanded for what seemed the tenth time by now.
"About one more minute, Sir. Coordinates are set. We could try to jump earlier but chances are high that the jump would tear us apart."
"If we remain here for much longer the g-forces will do the same." His tactical officer objected. "I suggest we try it." Connor groaned. So the choice was between a slow and painful death or a quick and painless one which therefore was far more probable than the other. Neither option seemed to favorable. But fortuned favoured the bold and so far it had more or less played in his favour. Three's a charm. he said to himself, then turned towards the helm.
"We jump now!" He ordered. "Punch it!"
With moderate dread in his eyes the man nodded. "Now we can only pray." Then he switched the lever.

An amazing end to an incredible story!

It just goes to show that unorthodox actions can pay out.

I really enjoyed the artwork throughout the entire Calim VI series and the story even more so.

Keep up the outstanding work!
