Calim VI: From Hell's Heart by Vince-T Calim VI: From Hell's Heart by Vince-T
Here's part 5 of the Calim VI series. The bold maneuver has worked after all. With ISD Subjugator crippled the Seraphim has managed to punch through the imperial lines and make its way back to the safety of the ESS fleet.

Well, safety can be treacherous.

------------

Aboard the ESS 'Revan' Tyrill Connor gazed incredulously at the bold maneuver the Seraphim had just pulled off. Going head-on with a ship more than twice their size was either foolish or cunning. When something dropped out of the Seraphim's hangar bay and slammed right into the star destroyer's bridge he could only shake his head in amazement. Whoever was aboard that ship, he knew how to give those imperials the finger.
However despite its success the 'Seraphim' wasn't out of harm's way yet. Bombers and other pursueing capships were hot on their heels. A bit to the left the two Predators - the 'Furious' and the 'Wrath' had sandwiched the 'Flame of Etharin' and were pounding heavily on their former sister's dwindling shields.

The 'Revan' was coming closer, but so were the pursuing ships on their heels. heavy turbolaser blasts lashed for them. Monk had already swapped the standard console controls with his two-handed steering yoke making the 'Seraphim' bounce and spin like mad. Five kilometers ahead the pair of Inferno II's was racing to assist them at full speed, ready to unload their deadly barrage on the pursuers. Eventually a screen of Vampires passed them to intercept - or at least distract their followers.

(text by Will T):
"From hell's heart, I stab at thee!" (...)
Amid the charred metal of the Subjugator's dorsal surface, the proton beam cannon fired, a glaring crimson beam that shot out and cleaved right through the Seraphim's engine block in a brilliant explosion, and the vessel listed, it's shattered aft glowing with internal fires yet to be extinguished by the failing oxygen.
