Armada by Vince-T Armada by Vince-T
I hadn't originally planned this one on being such a panoramic view, as it was merely a similar scene as in my recent deviation Impenetrable. However at some point I realized that the angle was perfect as origin for a far greater view, so I started adding more ships and stuff.

So here's the result, a wiedescreen view of the Traquia and a part of its massive armada. It's also somewhat a showcase for some of the various vessels I made, such as the Phoenix-Cruiser, the Inferno II and the Warrior-class SBCR.

I might do some similar panoramas for other scenes and groupings, I think I found a liking in those XD

Updated the image, now with the final version of the Traquia model. I'm quite pleased how the model turned out ;)

Thanks! BTW, thanks for the invitation. I'm a bit tied up at the moment but I'll come over there as soon as I have some free time on my hands!

Now what would be really cool is seeing all of those ships opening up with all guns, full-salvo

He, there wouldn't be much left of the picture XD
But I'll consider that eventually.

That would be cool; just to see all ships firing full-barrage.

You mean the Seraphim? Well, going by its story it was discovred and reactivated some fifteen years before the time this scene would've happened. You'll find it playing a major role in my Battle of Calim series. Of course, it spent quite some time in the repair yard after that XD

very cool designs ,and your meshes look to be light also, what do you use to model in ?, i see alot of ship designers on here who tend to over engineer there stuff ,by the way do you do commissions ?

I use an older version of Rhino 3d. The models are pretty much low detail compared to what's possible today. I've been creating them mainly as add-on Craft for X-Wing Alliance, which has certain limitations to detail. Still I always strife to achieve a best-possible quality within the given boundaries - that's the challenge I seek. I do not care too much about physics or designing my ships technically correct - I want them to look cool in the first place :)

Regarding commisions, well, I haven't so far but I wouldn't refuse to by principle. Still, knowing myself and keeping my professional life in account I might be a bit slow in the process. It probably always depends on what is requested. XD

he designs and makes them, which goes to show something for his imagination, and creativity

Not all people get their models off the internet

Excellent job. Reminds me of Stazi's fleet in the Star Wars Legacy comics. Keep up the great work.
