Discussion - Persephone And Demeter

It was a simple life, filled with innocent joys. But as the years rolled by, Persephone became restless, she longed for more in life, even when she knew her mother would never allow it. The gardens always bowed to her whims, but Persephone wanted to test her strengths, she wanted to be challenged, she wanted to become the goddess she was always meant to. 

So one day, she decided to be a little brave. 

Persephone: Mother, I was wondering... maybe I could help you better if I was out there in the world?

Demeter: In the world? Why sweetness, whatever do you mean? 

Persephone: I mean - If I was out there, on my own, learning about the mortals, using my powers, then I could be a real goddess - 

Demeter: Persephone, you are a real goddess. 

Persephone: Come on, mother, you know what I mean! I don't have duties, the mortals don't worship me, it's like I don't exist. If I could just get out there, I could prove to you - 

Demeter: And what would happen to you out there? Yes, the mortals don't worship you right now, and without that worship, it makes you weak! I will not put you in danger, Persephone. If you wish to come out more with me, then we'll do that. But other than that, you are staying in this garden and that is final!
