This picture is made for #LeftHandedArtists’ 2013 Contest: Think different!

About the style I must recognize that I have a big lack of practice with traditional media, specially with this technique, so feel free to give any opinion, advice or critique about it =)

You're better than me in spiky, sketchy style so I can't provide any constructive comment but I think here the most important is the idea and that came out great <3

I really appreciate what you say, thanks
Most times the idea is, for me, the main subject of the drawing (or the song, or the movie, or whatever...)
independently of how it's made, but I hate when I am not able to make it look like appears in my brain

Of course, highfive to that. Well, I'm a fantasy illustrator, I don't have to think much x) But I choose to take it easy, take some time, and develop slowly. Make hundred sketches of one idea to find new ways.

I take the way in the middle! ;)

So you better take a machete with you. Too much foliage
Gorgone's avatar
It can´t always be easy. ;) I take my inner flame for it.
vijamoga's avatar
come on, don't be gross!!
You can cause a fire and deforest the zone. A little machete exercise is more stimulating, believe me (and less forest-agressive)
Gorgone's avatar
haha...okidoki. I will go with a machete, but I keep my fire in my heart.

wow, you are the first non-spanish person that I see saying (typing) okidoki, is it worldwide common??
By the way, just warn you that some of your comments appear duplicated

I think it is common. Here it is a usual term.

Yeah, I know. when I type not at home I have this double post.

I that´s no trojan virus cause this computer is really save. ;)

Very nice concept! I also like, though it was likely not intentional, that the positioning of the foliage behind the central signpost makes it look like the hemispheres of a brain, giving the piece an entirely separate significance.
vijamoga's avatar
Sure! In addition, lefties are supposed to have a bigger use of right side of the brain (and viceversa)
so, whichever the direction you choose you are just approaching the other side!

As I said in previous comments, I like to leave my pieces open to interpretation, but is true that I try
to focus on the symmetrical concept, and brain's symmetry lies on the hemispheres ;)

Glad you enjoyed it!!
