Why do I always start writing in my Journal in May/June/July? Summer probably. but regardless.

I've finished the Hole of the past message. not in it now. (Who knew that ReBar made such an effective Faraday Shield to block WiFi?) Besides, gotta get ready to move into Dorm Room at State Sponsored University in Small College Town in Largest Contiguous State.

Hooray for Generic terms.

Anyways, so yes. Last years project was a flop... maybe in College I'll be more successful.

I want to start a contest, but I have A) no ideas anymore, and B) not too much spare change. Any miracle ideas are appreciated.

I've decided that this next school year I will draw SOMETHING each day.

IT may not get uploaded, but something WILL be drawn.

Or at least, something will get written.

I think this will keep me out of trouble.

Hole status. About 50% done with the primary out-digging. Steel came in, so that's going in next. Make a perp bore to drop those in, then going to make a re-bar concrete box before clearing out the box itself.

Right now the bore comes in about 2" away from the Northern corner. I may end up moving it to the center though. Then I can make a hallway of sorts and 3 or 4 separate rooms.

Hm.

Gotta order those solar panels and windmill.

Going with one of those vertically-oriented low-obtrusion windmills that can go around a smokestack. Getting about 4 of those and putting them on the corners of our chimney. Shouldn't be too eyesoreish. The stack is pretty bad as it is.

Heh. pretty good KPM count for this message. 1.2 keys per second on average, with a top speed of 10 KPM maintained for 1 minute. On that last paragraph. Not bad.

I'm digging a new hole right now.

I'm planning to make myself a new basement... my old one is really feeling cramped now.

I'm 5 feet underground! (well... so far. Right now I'm not digging)

It's going to be pretty spartan... I've got steel re-bar on order, and I'm planning to just support the whole thing with two iron posts. I plan to go 10 feet deep, put in a ladder, and run conduit down for power and internet booster. And then: Solitude in a 8 ft cube!

I'm moving my web server down there pretty quick. Then my primary gaming rig.

I'm so going to put a submarine periscope and hatch in.

It'll look nice from the outside.

Inside... well... it's my space.

probably put a bed down there too. Lights, such.

Might even run a phone line down there. Who knows?

Eventually... I'll plumb it.

That's later though.

What am I going to do when I move out? Probably keep the air rights and own my little "safe house"

Why must my wonderful friend leave our wonderful Madrigal Singing group? We'll miss you!

She's a pretty important musician in our little town.

I went flying today. (Might be yesterday by the time I post this... ) It was uneventful.

Agh. So TIRED!!!

Tomorrow I have to finish work for NASA, then Sunday at 12:30 I get on a charter bus to go to Austin.

Still too full of energy to go to sleep though.

Probably going to stay up ALL night.
