cool breeze tickles my throat,
like an ocean of discontented waves hushing their way to shore i breathe in and out as you instructed me to do
these pattering of hobbling birds gather around asking questions with their eyes
feathers ruffled in a swirl of spring
a crumb of stale cherry pastry found inside a brown paper bag
i'd forgotten what it's like to just sit and watch
feel the damp ground beneath my ass, feel that old familiar feeling of compassion and sadness and happiness all rolled into one
