Male horse-fly (Tabanus striatus)
Photographed this horse-fly about 30m up on a balcony wall in the early morning in October 2018 at Pune, India. Genus identified by the wing markings, species by the body and wing colouring, sex by the eyes (separated in this specimen)

Bean of tree with yellow flowers
Flowers and pinnate leaves similar to copper pod, bean is shaped as above. 21.3 x 2.3 cm at the narrowest part.

Funambulus palmarum - Indian palm squirrel
Tree squirrels are the only mammals that can descend trees head-first. This is enabled by rear ankle joints that can rotate 180 degrees so the hind paws become backward pointing. The cheeks are modeled on flat zygomatic bones to give the classic sciuiromorphous shape to the face.
