so. this game. THIS GAME. i can't say enough positive things about it. i don't even know where to start. i will tell you two things:
1. this is the game that finally made me buy a ps3. (worth it!)
2. joel takes the number 2 spot in my favorite video game characters of all time list. (thane is #1.)
but let me tell you about the plushie!
i haven't been as focused on making plushies as i'd like. i love doing it, but every once in awhile i get burnt out and uninspired and take a break. i was expecting to take a break after miranda (my husband said to me yesterday while we were out, "need anything from the fabric store? i said no. D: ) fast forward to last night, where my husband says, "you know what plushie you should make next? joel. you LOVE joel."
yes. yes i do.
i took three buses to get to the fabric store just to buy flannel to make this shirt (and because i didn't want to wait any longer.) overall, a relatively simple plushie that i churned out in less than 24 hours. being simple coupled with the fact that i wanted it done NOW RIGHT NOW made me finish this little guy quickly. i put silver bits in his beard/hair and fashioned little bricks for him (as shown) out of foam which i cut down to size, chipped, painted and dry brushed. i intend to make him a little backpack one day, but i'm calling him done for now.

I tried to make something similar but a lot smaller and different character. My sewing machine my mom bought- the foot pedal does not work and I cannot hand sew. ive been wanting to make a Carl from The Walking Dead (and maybe a me to go with him :3 ) If you ever sell the pattern or anything like that then please let me know? my dads birthday is coming up and he likes Daryl and Maggie from twd!!
