Sorry for the silence & delay, but i just encountered into a serious windows 10 problem for the first time, my pc restarted by itself after i was away for 15 minutes, the update made the screen goes black leaving only the cursor with it, screen kept occasionally flashes continuously which lead the system to crash with Blue screen of death, this has caused the monitor driver to be completely destroyed so i was only able to use one monitor, since the OS got damaged, installing new monitor driver did not fix the problem, lot of programs didn't function even in safe mode, i was only able to save my personal files at least so pretty much all the important files, i've tried finding different solutions but none of them has worked at all, that been said i've had to take screenshots of the drivers before formatting to save the hassle & get it done in less time, so it was no big deal since i got everything back in just few days

i.imgur.com/NuWEFXT.jpg it was causing weird annoying noises, scary isn't it? at first i thought it was my monitor but it appears it was just the system not able to recognize the driver after the OS files was damaged u_u
note that the screen will go black after you log in, it's a known problem that happened to quite a few amount to people:

During windows 10 fresh install screen, i was encouraged to install fall update which i managed to do so strangely without any problem

My question is, does anyone know how to avoid this in the future? i've read some articles & they all seems like the other typical things & tips you would hear from most sites, i like to stay updated but i never thought such update would make such a huge mess, so i would like to be able to avoid this problem as much as possible in the future
this is not the first time has happened to me, but this is the first problem of this kind to happen to me, it was a hell experience to start with a new computer, as of now, i'm running my system as it should, so i'm hoping once a new update comes, i will ask before i do so as this incident made me so paranoid that it will do the same thing again

I couldn't even get this far when I tried updating my laptop. The system had to revert back to the previous version, due to a persistent BSOD that occurred during every update attempt. Still hasn't been fixed by any newer patches. So, I'm considering performing a clean install on a new hard drive, and then installing all of my apps and moving my data over to it. Then, when everything's on the new drive, I'll activate it with my current product key, wipe the old drive, and mirror the old drive to the original drive.

Restore points were a good tool for recovery, but for me it always felt like i had a curse, never had a single successful restore point in the newer OS, so i've had to use the hard ways instead (taking HD off) and recovering files etc
last time i had a successful restore points were from my Windows XP days, 10 years ago

I must say that I have been living pretty dangerously by those standards. I rarely ever keep up-to-date backups, and have been relying heavily on the Windows Update rollback that tends to occur after the Updater encounters an error. I guess I've had it pretty nice for the most part (although, I haven't been able to pull off creating a Restore Point since Windows 7 myself)...

I had same thing on last time, but on next time it did updated really well.

Mostly some peoples just makes a new update from the Windows 10 Assistant Update or making new Windows 10 with the new update as ISO file.
But hmm... It is a big problem, but just try and try. It will go soonly.

Or you just can update it different way, to update it from here: www.microsoft.com/en-us/softwa…
And just click "Update Now".

But doing a clean install of Windows 10 with new updates may really fix the problem. That did work for me!

Hmm... interesting.
Maybe something is going on in your Windows i guess. Maybe something is broken...?

If you really want to get on the top, just install new Windows 10 with latest updates! :>
