Dubstep Notes

This is my attempt to create an image that represents dubstep to me. I love the way the people who create this style of music use different sounds, beats, and even dead space in the music to flow from one sound to another taking things from pretty melodies to heavy, pulsing rhythms, to deep growling tones, while keeping it all combined in one cohesive song that just pulls the brain in so many different directions. I tried to get some of the differences in sounds and the flow between them with the designs inside the notes, going from a circuit board pattern to a heart monitor to twisting vines and then overlaid it on a bright background with some shadows to help give a sense of depth.

The notes and staff were created in Flash then exported for use in PhotoShop. There I added in the shadows and the gradient background.
