Color TV Game 15 by Nintendo (1978)
Pong by Atari Inc. & Nolan Bushnell (Arcade 1972)

Color TV Game is a series of home consoles created by Nintendo well before the Entertainment System. There were five different consoles in the series, all developed and released in Japan and nowhere else. The first two models, Color TV-Game 6 and 15, contained their respective variations of Light Tennis (or as its better known, "Pong"), among which were making the Ball move faster, the paddles smaller, and even double the paddles on both sides. Where most controllers for these types of games had knobs with variable resistors, which allowed the players to control in-game movement by how far they twisted the knobs, the TV-Game 15 used microswitches instead.

Color TV Game 15 appears in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS as an Assist Trophy, and when summoned, it plays Light Tennis across the stage, with the ball damaging players as it bounces, and even a score for both sides appearing overhead.

in the point of view of the game characters in smash, this would be the oldest and most ancient thing in the Universe.

i imagine that Star Fox and Shulk would think of the "pong things" as sentient primordial fluctuations after the video game Big Bang, with the "pong things" having no future.

Male/Female Corrin would think of the "pong things" as a cosmic, divine message in a incomprehensible language.

anyway, Mr. Game and Watch is another oldest entity in the Universe, its composed of a primordial substance that could be best described as extradimensional Liquid Crystal Displays, hence why Tabuu in the Subspace Emissary uses G&W to create the Shadow Bugs.

"I thought it was fun. Apparently, people thought so too back then! That's why they made a home Pong console, so you can play it at home! And then, there's was another one...And another one!...And another one!!...AND ANOTHER ONE!!!...AND ANOTHER ONE!!!! There was like Nine Million ****ing Pong Consoles!!!"
