Hey, all. Hope y'all enjoyed the drawings I put out for Inktober this year (plus the extras for Halloween). It was very fun and a tad exhausting to do, and I've been planning it since last year, so it was absolutely worth it. I might do it again next year with a new batch of characters, but that depends on how things work out. I can't promise anything at this time.
With that being said, I sadly have to announce that I'm gonna take a break from major drawing projects for the next month and a half. I'm in a Storyboard Class for the fall semester at my college, and we're now about to enter the final project, which will require my utmost focus, so if I'm to follow through on that as well as my next assigned boards, I can't allow myself to get distracted by side projects, so I gotta take a stand on this. This also means Commissions are currently closed until about halfway through December, so if you wanted anything in particular, it'll have to wait. My sincerest apologies, but learning calls.
After all that's said and done, I'd like to enter 2019 (and maybe even 2020) with a brand new outlook and new art projects, starting with:
Smash Bros. Fighter Drawings
I'm going to make an effort to draw every single fighter in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, as well as their Major alternate costumes. I'm gonna aim to have that finished in June-July, but that depends on how long or quick these will ultimately take (no pun intended). They'll be drawn and published in Numerical order as listed on the official website, and I might take an early start in December, so look forward to it.
Striker Chapters 3 and 4
I would also like to continue publishing my webcomic as regularly as possible, and I may start on Chapter 3 alongside the Smash drawings or afterward. I'm currently saving up for a new computer, so it might have to wait until I've switch to improved working materials. Whenever that happens, I'll know to prepare the conclusion of Volume 1 of my original series.
New Animation Projects
I've sadly been neglecting my animation-related ambitions, but I've mostly been pursuing my original craft, so there's that. I have three cartoons that have been on the backburner for too long, and I'd like to finish those whenever I can. One of which, I've recorded voiceover with a few friends of mine, so I owe it to them to get that one finished. Hopefully, I can start on these during the fall, but who knows what will happen.
Possibly opening a Patreon
I'm still working on a new goal of moving into my own apartment, and if I can support artwork and voice acting financially, that'd be a great way to get myself on my feet. I wouldn't charge much to follow my work, and I'd probably use it as a means to give followers a voice in how future Voice Tributes get designed, and maybe even behind-the-scenes looks at things like Tributes and Striker. Nothing definite to announce at this time, but a guy can hope for the best.
That's all I wanted to get off my chest. Bottom line, Gotta set fan work aside for school work, and after it's done, I'm gonna start on my new planned stuff. Here's hoping it all works out and that I don't kill myself trying.
Now if you'll excuse me, I got a Smash Direct to prepare for. Happy Halloween, y'all!
