Stretched by VerticalDubai Stretched by VerticalDubai
180° Panorama of Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai stitched from 13 images.

EDIT: After pondering on it for quite a while I've decided to turn it horizontally. Wait, where exactly is the horizon
Now it resembles the view from this rooftop bar after having too many drinks, I guess :)

I'd love to hear your thoughts - do you like it better this way? (It used to be "vertical" before ;) )

Glad you like it :) These were several shots taken with a wideangle lens and then stitched in Photoshop.

It's awesome that you took people's thoughts. (But I hope you didn't feel forced to change it! It's still your art.) I do very much like it like this. The perspective is amazing. It's like seeing a real-life cartoon city or something out of the Twilight Zone.

I think you and a some others did have a good point and it kept bugging me every time I looked at it. But now, as I also added in the description, it provides the view from this rooftop bar after having too many drinks... and I think that adds a little "twist" to the story ;)

Cheers

No, this was taken with a normal wideangle lens (Nikon 14-24mm f2,8 at 14mm) and then stitched in Photoshop :)

LOL :D I thought it's best this way, but I've heard quite a few people say it'd be better if it was turned by 90°.

Cheers!

Beeindruckend. Benutzt Du Panorama Software dazu?

Your images and concepts are just amazing. I love the lighting and stretch in this one, the way the buildings all bend as if they're on a really, really small globe. This, I actually would have preferred to see horizontally, with the buildings pointing up and the road spanning across the middle like an equator. Despite that, still an amazing and beautiful shot. :aww:

To me it did not seem to work horizontally, I just liked it better this way.
