So, I've gotten the bug -- the dolling bug! Now, I haven't made any actual dolls (yet). However, I've been updating my website like crazy -- in only the last day or so. I've already rolled out Wordpress on my main website ( www.rubberhouse.net ) and there may still be a few kinks to work out. But I'm very excited! It will be more a blog about OTHER people's doll websites (or deviantart or elfwood profiles, etc). I'm going to highlight other's awesome websites, along with older but awesome websites that are no longer updated, forums, etc. So please, check it out and let me know what you think!

Oh I do hope you keep up with this and that other dollers come here. I've been looking for a doll site like this (dolls, interviews, resources, etc.) for so long now. There used to be a few, but certainly none in the past couple of years (that I know of). I really, really like your Free Project page - I think it's a terrific idea and a great way to preserve all those old bases. Even if they're not that great by today's standards, it's nice to have them around for dolling posterity!

I remember when I first got into dolling sometime around 2001 - 2002 . . . . I came across a site that was a lot like All About Dollz, but it wasn't. It was ALL bases . . . for pages and pages and pages. Most of them looked like the bases in the 30something pages at All About Dollz: prep-sized, faceless, with interesting poses and various skin tones. It was that site that got me into dolling . . . . I just wish I could remember its name! I would totally Wayback the heck out of it!

Good luck and keep up the good work! :D

Thank you so much! There is another doller who apparently has ALL the 'old' bases from the free base project from the old All About Dollz website, and I'm going to put them up on my site as she said that she would send them to me. I'm hoping to get more dollers to submit new base bodies as well. I'm not planning on doing 'issues' as other dolling magazine sites have done in the past...I'm just going to update what I can, when I can. Real life and all that jazz :)

I started going back on The Palace again...And started going on Worlize too, but there isn't much in the way of doll stuff on there anymore.

I understand what you mean. Except with me, "real life and all that jazz" is more "real life and all those stampeding elephants". :D

I would die if I saw all those Free Base Project bases again. What a trip! (Good idea for a contest too, no? Old base contest?)

Yay! Wordpress is so smooth and easy, it hardly takes any time at all to keep updated, or maintained. Good choice!

Yeah I've been using it on my Rocky Horror Picture Show cast's website for a little over a year now, it's very nice. I really need to upgrade it but I haven't done that yet.

Easiest thing in the world. You can either update it with one click in your dashboard (one click!) or sometimes you need to go through your control panel on your host, depends how it has been installed. But it is incredibly easy to update. And to make a quick back up too.

It actually was quite easy! I was surprised. I guess I was thinking back to "Gray Matter" days...lol

PS I shared your URL to your Worlize world/hangout thingy. Hope you don't mind :)
