To Protect You... by Verdaera To Protect You... by Verdaera
Finally, a great shot of my Katniss Reaping dress I created in 2012!

I never properly debuted this costume because I hadn't figured wigs out yet, nor found decent shoes (which I'll show in another shot later!) I made the dress from a floral/leaf rayon print on vintage fabric, which I stripped back the color and overdyed in blue (exactly how the original was created). I put on clear, faceted buttons from my grandmother's vintage button collection.

***PLEASE NOTE: My work is not 'cosplay', it is costuming. Costuming is the art of creating costumes and designing a character look. 'Cosplay' is the activity of role playing while in costume, which not an activity I participate in, and is often confused for costuming.. Please only refer to my work as Costuming. Thank you for your understanding.***

Why did you possibly need a wig

Because I have thin strawberry blonde hair and I didn't want to dye it brown XD

How do you relate to Katniss then, surely you could buy less wigs and devote more realism to 1 character first then the wig would actually look good and not like plastic.

A. I'll buy as many wigs as I please, thankyouverymuch
B. I had plenty of people who didn't realize I was wearing a wig until I told them
C. I recently finished a hand-tied human hair wig that is more realistic than this one
D. I don't know why you are so hung up on my hair, but if you don't like it, it's best to keep opinions to yourself. I work hard at my art and I improve it wherever I can.

Yes but in buying all those cheap wigs that is why you are on,y just now know that actual hair looks good and if I don’t like someone cheaply ridiculing a character I speak up for myself especially out in the real world

Ha! Sweetie, I've seen the one costume on your page, I'm hardly going to take unsolicited costuming advice from you, especially since you don't take your own advice. I don't appreciate your 'portrayal' of Ginny, but I would never be an asshole and go on your page to berate you about it. Furthermore, I've learned from several of my friends that you harrass people on Instagram over their wigs. I don't know what your problem is, but you need professional help. Get some.
