The Last Rose

The rose has fallen to the ground,
The red petals deteriorating
Dying- along with your love.

Nothing lasts forever
Isn't that what they say?
It was bound to happen
Some day,
But I didn't’t expect it to be today.

The rose you gave me
Is almost gone,
It won’t last much longer,
Even though it fights so strong.
