Anyone who grew up in the last few decades in Germany knows the wall-mounted gumball machines that attracted children's attention on many a streetcorner. Much has changed in the last 30-40 years, but this small piece of my generation's childhood memories has surprisingly survived, although both the machines and their contents seem to have become antique curiosities.
I'd like to invite anybody who's interested to photographically document these "artifacts from a bygone era" in this group. I'm especially interested in whether this equipment is or was as commonplace for people outside the German-speaking world.
