...since I last wrote a journal entry for DA.A few things have recently changed, I finally got my degree, and thanks to some presents and a nice promotion I was able to get a shiny new camera, a Nikon D7000 DSLR, which is going to replace my Canon 450D.Together with the camera body, I also got a Nikon 18-105 VR kit lens, which I read should perform quite well, covering a nice range of focal lengths and featuring VR image stabilization.A couple days after buying it, I also found an old Nikon film camera in my father's wardrobe, together with a Nikkor AI 105mm f/2.5 lens, with manual focus and apertures, which I immediately proceeded to plac...

Finally, after months of savings, a local mall promotion allowed me to grab a new camera - and having taken quite a few shots with my father's 400D in the last months, the obvious choice fell on its successor, the Eos 450D.For now, I'm quite broken and won't be able to afford a macro lens of my own for some time, but I already started saving up again for the excellent Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 macro USM lens, which should be a substantial improvement on the EF-s 60mm I've used in the past.
