Marble 01 by Velvet--Glove Marble 01 by Velvet--Glove
Ultra Fractal 4.04 (except for sig).

I thought I might join the new group that's started up - MarbliciousFractals [link]

I'm not very familiar with how to do these in UF yet so bear with me while I'm learning. Here is my first attempt at making a fractal marble, anyway.... it's pretty but not a very inspired composition, I'm afraid. ;)

We all need more time so to anyone who may 'fave and run' on this piece or any other: thank you so much for your quickie 'vote of approval'.

Thank you. It took me a while to work out the technique but I think this possibly one has the most 'glassy' look of all the marbles I have made recently. :)

Well, I did try to make a sphere and an egg last year but didn't do too well and frankly I just gave up in disgust! Now I know a little more about UF and transformations it's a bit easier... so I would call this my first successful attempt! ;) :D

Thanks for the :+fav:, hon. :)

I actually like the background only because it reminds me of grass and i think of a poor lost marble on the front lawn about to be eaten by the mower...;p. But anyhow I think you fullfilled your purpose at the very least.

The marble is wonderful! Yes, the background isn't overly interesting but that wasn't your focus here, it was making that lovely sphere...and you did good.

Thanks, Kat. This was just an initial exercise into UF marble making... like you I love the sphere itself but hopefully I can do a little better with the presentation next time. ;)

Maybe not inspired but still very pretty. You're going down the hard route anyway - UF - I have to admit making most of mine in Apo or using a filter in Photoshop Elements - it's much easier :) so all credit to you for creating them this way.

Thanks, Maggie. Yes, it is hard trying to do this in UF but I view it as a learning experience. ;)
