2 min read

...will soon be upon us!

I'm busy with my stage costume, Anna from Shaman King
Besides from her I'm planning on bringing:
Hipster Merida - I wanna flash my new wig and bow
My upgrated Team Rocket grunt - because Team Rocket

It's been a while since I've been in cosplay during a whole convention so I'm really looking forward to it!

So, usually I'm not a very busy cosplayer, I make a couple of costumes, attend 2-3 conventions and eventually go overseas if I qualify for something.
Compared to this my 2014 will be packed!

Where I'm certain to go:
March: J-popcon in Denmark. Entering Danish cosplay Championship (pfffff) and aiming to go to the ECG!(3 costumes planned)
June: Animecon in Holland! Recently a lot of Danes have been going and rumour has it, it's rockin'! Can't wait to see all my foreign friends ;w; (1-2 costumes planned)
July: Närcon in Sweden, I'm going as the organizer for the Danish participants for the NCC finals! (1 costume planned)
August: Genki in Denmark! As team leader for the Entertainment team I'll be hosting various shows on the big stage, along with my incredible team! (1-2 costumes planned)

Where I might go:
May: SVScon in Denmark! the travel expenses are kinda high for what I think you get from the convention, but they have an awesome cosplay show! I missed out on it last year and everybody seemed to have a good time so I hope I can make it this year!
July: Japan Expo in France! The expo is amazing and I really missed going there last summer and lot of my foreign friends will be there!
October: MCM London Comic Con. Last time I went I had a blast and it would be a great excuse to get to see some of my friends from UK again! <3

Phew! Better get to work!

Wow! It's almost been a whole year sine my last entry!
No wonder, 2013's been a crazy year!

Last time I wrote I was neck-deep in work regarding my costume for the WCS preliminaries, Taokaka from Blazblue.
We won and thus started the race against time and suffering economy to finish everything before the finals in Nagoya!

We decided to make 3 brand new costumes, and as the first Danish team to win since J-popcon got moved from start November to mid-March we really felt the pressure!
But we made it through and I even managed to make a 4th costume which I never got to use during the WCS!
Once I pull myself together there WILL be pictures!

We had the best time and we met (and was reunited with) so many great and inspiring people! Even when we got bashed on Facebook our friends was right there, comforting us! Thank you so much for that! I miss you all SO bad!
We returned home with fire in our eyes and hearts full of memories!

2 weeks after my return from Japan, Genki was on! I once again organized and hosted our grand cosplay show along with my wonderful team!
For the show I made a team Rocket Grunt costume I and it's safe to say it's one of the most fun and comfy costumes I have ever worn!

In November I went to Gamex in Stockholm to jugde their cosplay walk on. Man, those swedes sure know how to cosplay! I was amazed, amused and stunned!
I cosplayed as May from Guilty Gear during the weekend, a new costume I managed to throw together a couple of weeks before. Why do I have to be a last minute cosplayer?
I once again got to meet a bunch of amazingly skilled and sweet people. Great! More foreign friends to miss. .___.

So 2013's been kinda busy after my standards.
In 2012 I only managed to make 1½ costumes, but in 2013 I made 7! Crazy progress, I love it!

In real life, things have happened too!
I have been working as an intern at a theatre and got a ton of experience, contacts and inspiration. And a job! Go me!
2013 was also the year in witch I moved from my flat (61m2) to my new room (12m2) closer to Central Copenhagen.
I'm really excited to see how I will manage to fit my cosplay workshop in here! This place is jammed with fabric, tools, wigs and shoes! <3

2014 contains some Shaman King for the try-out at the ECG preliminaries, some super hero stuff, creepy minions and even more Pokémon!

I can't wait.

Tag it uppp

Thanks :iconcyclonexhtc: for tagging me!

I love these stupid tag games =D

★. You must post these rules.
★. Each person must post 10 things about themselves on their journal.
★. Answer the questions the tagger set for you, and create 10 new questions for the people you tag to answer.
★. You have to choose 10 people to tag and post their icons on your journal.
★. Go to their pages and tell them you have tagged her/him.
★. No nonsense in the tagging section about "you are tagged if you're reading this."
★. You have to tag 10 people.

10 random things about me

- I'm addicted to nail polish. I love applying it and I love to scratch is off again once it starts chipping. Best. activity. Ever!
- I love to read and I can easily read a whole book in a day if I got nothing else planned.
- I'm truly afraid of people dressed like furries, clowns of anything where you can't see the person inside the costume. I don't know why and it's a problem when your hobby is wel… cosplay.
- I really want a cat, but my landlord says no .___.
- My musician of choice is Alice Cooper. He's so talented and so much fun! One of my biggest wishes is so see him live. That wish might come true this summer!
- I hate cooked vegetables. The colors, the smell and taste. And the consistency! Yucky!
- My favorite animal is sheep. I think thet are cozy animal and I like how they're just minding their own business, not caring about anything besides grass. And they taste great too!
- Even though it's been a long time since my pet rabbit died, I still miss him .___.
- When watching TV I can get extremely annoyed with people who can't speak properly. That's why I'm not watching that much TV any more.
- I love to dye my hair and if I could afford it and it did not damage my hair, I'd do it every other week.

Cyclones questions:

1. How many languages do you speak?
I like to think that I speak a pretty good Danish. No wonder since well, I'm Danish.
Next up is English. In Denmark we don't have a lot comics, games 'n' such translated into Danish, so you need to understand English to join the game.
My 3rd language will be French! The class we all slacked through in high school. Luckily I have a mother who's pretty skilled at it, and she has helped me you a lot by having various French conversations with me at home. As a result of this, I have a good pronunciation while my gramma sucks. Mon dieu.

2. Do you attend (rock)concerts? If you did, who did you see perform/who was your favourite?
I love music and I attend as many concerts as I can!
My favorite one will be when Tarja Turunen played at Lille Vega almost 2 years ago. Nightwish was my first metal band and I like to believe they've taught me a whole lot of stuff! I never got to see them like before they kicked Tarja out, so this was my first time ''meeting'' her. I also went to the concert alone because nobody wanted to join me. But when she played ''I walk Alone'' everything seemed to fit in place.

3. How do you cope while being sick, stuck at home, feeling too bad to move a muscle?
It depends on how close my next cosplaydeadline is! I'f it's close I just suck it up and do whatever work I'm capable of doing. If not, I curl up in my bed and plead for my boyfriend to get me sweets and tell be how unfortunate I am.

4. Where possible, I try to choose charachters to cosplay that already kinda look like me.  Which character looks the most like you (from the one you cosplayed)?
Visually it would be Esther Blanchett (Trinity Blood) since we both have reddish hair. But I see a lot more of myself in Aika (Aria). She's grumpy and sarcastic but also caring and fun!

5. Can you say 'Hottentottententententoonstelling'?
Suuure thing. . . Something somethingblablabla.

6. Is the end of the world upon us?
I went to this event called "The end of the world Show" so I guess so? How can you be sure?

7. What's the 561478th number of Pi?
42. It's always 42.

8. I don't feel about thinking of questions.  What do you suggest?
Let's go on a picnic instead! With llamas!
Alpaca lunch!

9. Name 2 things
Is Alice Cooper two things? If not, 2bad4you!

10. Can I go back to sleep? My back hurts.
No! Stay with me! I don't wanna be alone aymore!  You can ask me more questions if you like to!
Staaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!

10 raporlicious questions to you guys!

Do you prefer manga or anime?
When you're cosplaying off stage (hall cosplay or whatever) are you in character?
When it comes to cosplay, what is your biggest fear?
Would you rather show a lot of chest than a lot of leg?
Describe ''cosplay'' with 3 words.
Why is it so hard to come up with 10 questions?
Have you ever messed up on stage? (Dropped your wig, slipped, forgot your lines ect.)?
Do you have any hobbies that isn't cosplay or cosplay related?
What's you weapon of choice in an zombie apocalypse?
Finally: What do you think of tag games like these?
