Vorwort: Diese Geschichte handelt von Far Cry 5, meinem absoluten Lieblingsspiel von Ubisoft. Darin geht es um einen Weltuntergangskult namens The Project at Eden's Gate, der in den USA im fiktiven Hope County, Montana außer Kontrolle gerät. Angeführt wird die Gruppe von Joseph Seed und seinen Geschwistern Jacob, Faith und John, denen wir im Spiel als Deputy in Ausbildung nach und nach das Handwerk legen müssen. Die Mitglieder des Projects at Eden’s Gate werden auch 'Peggies' genannt. Um den Deputy und den Showdown gegen John Seed geht es in dieser Geschichte und die beschriebenen Ereignisse fügen sich so gut wie nahtlos in den tatsächlichen Ablauf aus dem Spiel ein. Alle beschriebenen oder namentlich erwähnten Orte existieren im Spiel. Josephs Worte und Johns letzte Worte sind originalgetreu wiedergegeben und daher in englisch belassen, da Far Cry 5 meiner Meinung nach in der Übersetzung seine ganze Tiefe verliert. Preface: This story relates to my all time favorite Ubisoft game Far Cry 5. The game is about an out of control doomsday cult called The Project at Eden's Gate, that has settled in Montana, USA in the fictional place of Hope County. They are headed by Joseph Seed and his siblings Jacob, Faith and John. We play as a deputy sheriff who has to put a stop to their activities. The members of Eden's Gate are also called 'Peggies'. This story is about the deputy and the showdown against John Seed and the described events are almost seamlessly integrated into the course of the actual game. All described or mentioned places and names do exist in the game. Joseph's words and John's last words are quoted verbatim. As John has a certain way of talking and emphasizing words, I've tried to convey his mannerism by using capital letters, periods and breaks.
