It's hard to believe that I turned 41 on March 1st, I'm a married woman (I've known my spouse since I was 19) and I've been using this site for over 22 years. Where did the time go? Being an adult isn't easy, but I assure you that every sacrifice, every decision I made to reach this point in my life was worth it. I'm happier now and more at peace with my past, although I have been receiving therapy to overcome the crippling depression and grief I've experienced since my mother died over the Christmas holiday of 2018. I wouldn't wish this kind of loss on anyone (so many passings that it seems unreal, nearly incomprehensible), but I'm stronger now than I've ever been for a very long time. It's great to be here and I'm fortunate to have the love and support of so many. Thank you. I love and appreciate you all for the support you've given over the years. I look forward to a more productive year as I'm beginning to write and draw more now than I've ever accomplished in years. It's the best

I'm no longer lost in my grief. With the help of my therapist, my spouse and our shared family and friends, I've found myself and for the first time in ages, I am compelled to draw and write again. I pray that I'll have the strength to continue and pour my heart into my craft. Thank you all to those who have reached out to remind me that I'm not alone. Your support has strengthened my resolve. My heart swells. There aren't enough words to convey how much I appreciate you all. Seriously, thank you so much.

Barely three weeks have passed since my biological father died.... My little brother died a few days ago. The agony of watching the life force slip away from him, the horror of the death rattle. It's an experience that I wouldn't wish for anyone, not even my worst enemies. I'm glad I got to be there for him and in support of our family. I feel numb. He was only thirty...
