So I haven't made a journal entry in ages, I've just been too busy. School is kicking my butt right now and with the added pressure of finding a job, my energy level has been at an all time low lol I did finally find a job, which is good, cuz I need money!I've got a piece in a juried show here in Chicago and as it's been ages since I actually matted and framed any of my work for other people to look at , I was wondering if anyone could give me any pointers on where to sign this thing? I'd planned on signing in one of the lower corners, underneath the print, but the mat covers that area. So I suppose I could go ahead and sign it and just...

Why is it so damn hard for us to see in ourselves what others see in us? Last night, over 35 people showed up at my going-away party to see me off. Most of them were from work, but I had a few outside of work friends come as well. The point is that each one of these folks seems to believe with absolute certainty that Chicago is the best place for me AND that I'll do well. They don't think that I'm going to fail miserably. It's such an odd thing to think that these people, most of whom I admire greatly for all sorts of reasons, have the faith in me which I do not have in myself.
