The Secret Pool

This painting took me quite a while. Somehow it is older but also newer than some recent paintings I've uploaded. I did the initial drawing almost a year ago, and worked on it on occasion. I got stuck often, especially with the green tones, and I almost wouldn't have finished it. But I felt I needed to push through, and iam glad I did it. I learned a lot about these green-tones and values and many things I would do different in the future. With that painting going for so long I feel it got lots of memories attached to it which I've had in the time it was worked on. I wanted to convey a mysterious mood of the likes of symbolist paintings.

Thank you guys a lot for the DD! Its my first one, and I couldn't be happier, that my art resonates with that many people!
