Pixel Art Tutorial Series is currently the most popular thing on my page. The idea behind this is to take suggestions from the community and try to make a tutorial out of these things, helping out fellow deviants along the way. You can also find my pixel art tutorials in groups like #TutorialsForYou, #TutorialsClub and #PixelCommunity.
Here is a list of tutorials in my Pixel Art Tutorial Series, tutorials which are underlined and bold are already ready tutorials that you can read, other tutorials without the underline are tutorials that will be posted in deviantART in near future.
You can also suggest new pixel art tutorial series by commenting on my profile page, on these tutorials or by sending me a note.
Enjoy!

I'm pretty sure that you meant the colour of darker shadingline to be #c19b26 instead of #8e721c. :)  Aweswome tutorial anyway, thanks so much for making.

I'm curious, what program do you use? Paint.net?

MS Paint from windows xp. :)
Pretty cool, did it in about an hour, and it is easier than it looks, thank you very much.
Hope to see more.

Excuse me sir! I know this post is out of date but I have one question. How could i fill color without draw all the texture again ?
I'm using ms paint to keep your tut as simple as possible :)

I think copy/pasting would help ^^ But you have to turn on transparent selection to do that

Your pixel art tutorials are absolutely brilliant! :) I've been doing pixel art for a long  time but I always like to improve; these tutorials help a lot, if not with techniques, with inspiration.

i've done this it's so hard :') . Please tell me how i find colors like yours u'm using paint in windows 7 and i love the colors you used ^^

Unfortunately I'm not quite sure on how it works with windows 7 paint, since i don't use it myself. But if you have a little tool like ColorPic (free) then it's easy to find all the colors you need.

What I'd like to know is, how do you accurately calculate the amount of pixels you should use for the space between the vertical lines? I've been trying to figure this out for 30 minutes now and whatever I do I don't end up with even spaces.

If it makes it easier for you then you can use some kind of other color to help you and later erase it. For example paint 3-4 pixels (however wide you want your gap to be) with one color and after that use 1 pixel of other color. And then do it again if you know what I mean. And that way you can get even gaps.

Hey, I have a question. How can I change color on for example #8e721c in MS paint, because I can't choose color looking like this in tutorial??
