Dubble Bubble

So my chief complaint with the dubbed adaptations produced courtesy of Jordan Haro (aka DeadTom22, aka Bard71, aka “Production Overdrive Patient Zero”) and Sandra Espinoza (aka DustyOldRoses, aka “Dueling Bomango Banjos”) is that we’ve long since reached a point where the quality and number of videos is in serious danger of exhausting my capacity for praise verbiage. I mean, they’re as delightfully fun as they ever were, and they’re GOOD WORK, too, but come on, right? They’re spoiling us with this stuff. Not that I’m about to beg them to STOP, of course...

It’s also kinda cheap of me to call them “dubs”, really, since Jordan adds both audio AND visual flourishes to the original material. But, for the sake of shorthand...Oh, and I believe the “blooper reel” is the first time I’ve drawn FOR a dub, rather than the other way around—which makes me feel like I’m finally contributing something to the process instead of sitting back and being amused by Jordan and Sandra’s hard work But seriously, this was a fun change of pace, and if you folks enjoy it, might be something we do more of in the future (or we might anyway?)

My deepest thanks to Jordan and Sandra once again for kicking some audio-visual ass with Bomango! Not only is it good old-fashioned enjoyment, but for me, it’s a jolt of encouragement and inspiration every time, and a reminder of what I love so much about creating comics and characters: it’s alive and moving, it’s fun and it’s funny, it’s drama and silliness, it’s VELVEETA!
