every now and again i get an odd request but this one seemed like a cool idea, even if an unexpected one.
the request was for Gogo or Didi to appear as the DJ on the album cover of Donald Fagen's The Nightfly (i chose Didi). While drawing this i got pretty acquainted with the music, plus it was a chance to work with heavy blacks, which i don't do much of, if that isn't kind of obvious.
i was originally gonna go with Gogo, but after hearing the mellow tracks a few times decided on Di to the Di...seems more her thing.

edit: This is not actual art for any album, it's based directly off the cover art for Fagen's solo album from 1982, there's just a Didi in it now
And for them who asked, no, Didi doesn't smoke. It's incredibly unhealthy, don't you know that? Sillies.
