I can't abide a thief

Click the icon to read what I have to say.  Apparently some wannabe pornmaster has been stealing work from DA members and posting it on his personal site, as well as on DA.  His DA account is temporarily suspended, but he'll probably slither his way back in.

the best thing we can do is stick together. Keep an eye out for eachtother.

dA would be a very cold, dark place if everyone you ever fav immediately blocks you.

crazy people.. disliking watermarks can only help them do such stuff again n again . don't give them chance. watermark wont reduce your quality instead would show more professionalism.

good luck!

You definitely have a point there.

Thank you for the comment and the support.

Your most welcome.. you need to be silent about what u put on as ur watermark or u can let everyone kno its only here on DA using DA's watermark.

I would suggest you to put a few stamps for awareness so people (ouside DA) if they come around ur profile they would reconsider the after results of stealing.

a watermark can be as simple as a good signature added on, and if they remove that its an extra violation.

That's sad, I'm sure you could contact DA about it. They would probably take legal action.

I am not sure how but somehow artist have to be able to protect themselves. And I am not sure watermarks are the answer. But I do not have a better one.

Nor do I, unfortunately. Maybe a huge, ugly watermark to make sure the bad guys can't show the work anywhere. What worries me is that watermarks detract from the viewing experience of the people who don't steal and only want to see the work for their own enjoyment. They're why I do it at all, you know...

Yes those are pretty much my thoughts too

that's sad but I had the same "adventure".
I don't think we can do anything else than marking our works. I do it.

As much as I dislike watermarks, I fear you are correct.
