Applications are still open if some people want to join the translation team - the more people are helping with the translation the quicker we can proceed after all. The translation project will start in January 2015. Look forward to Terra Aluvis in ENGLISH LANGUAGE! :3
-----
I seek people to help me in the translation of my life work Terra Aluvis (written in German) into English language.
That's how it is. The first chapter was translated by a professional translator, a friend of mine, but she gave up, since it was too much for her.
So over the last months I was thinking desperately what to do now ... I REALLY want to have my story available in English language. I wanted it since I decided to publish my story years ago, because I want to share my world, my vision, my characters with YOU, dear followers. And you come from all over the world - and only very few are able to read German. When my story was translated into English language, most of you would have access to it.
What's most important to me is to share Terra Aluvis, my lifework, with ALL OF YOU - not because of the money, but because of the HEART and SOUL I've put into this world and its characters.
So, what are my options?
- Hire other professional translators? I definitely have no money for that, I don't even have enough money to make a living.
- And go via crowdfunding? Seriously. Look how few attention I get. Terra Aluvis as crowdfunding project would never gain enough attention to receive up to several (ten)thousands EUR donations that would be needed to pay a professional translator to work on my long series.
- Go and find a publisher? No. I don't make compromises with commercially driven managers who don't give a shit about my creative baby I've risen so carefully over 10 years. And furthermore, my story is not "main stream" enough to be accepted.
- Translate it myself? That would take too much time, since translating it is like re-writing my story - and there are definitely other points in my project Terra Aluvis that need my attention more, points that cannot be replaced by others.
- Turn the translation progress into a group process? Yes. That's the only way. And that is where I NEED YOUR HELP.
Please help me to find trustworthy people for the translation of my novel series Terra Aluvis!
I am sure some of you want the english version of my story Terra Aluvis as badly as me. So please help me to find a hand full of people, who can help me in the translation of my story.
What kind of people do we need for the translation?
- Do you know anyone who knows English AND German?
- Maybe even someone who is writing himself already?
- Someone who likes fanatsy, boys love and sci-fi?
- Someone who could imagine to work on this long translation process together with me and other people via internet?
- Someone, who eventually already knows my story Terra Aluvis and would like to spend his free time on translating it?
Terra Aluvis in English will be published as e-book IN CHAPTERS. Each chapter is about 70-150 book pages, so it's like a mini novel anyway. Members of the translation group will get shares of the sold english parts of my story they worked on together with me.
So it's up to you now, if Terra Aluvis will be available in English language for all people or not
Please go and spread the word! Tell others about this journal - and let's get Terra Aluvis told in a language most people will understand
You might want to take a look the first chapter (in German) to get an idea of my writing style:
