The Two Towers

So this is my take on The Two Towers from the fantasy story World of Plants, that belongs to my dear friend and first beta reader https://www.deviantart.com/tanamantersembunyi

I was so in love with the depiction of the contrasting towers :3

One tower is of Light, filigree, with dancing flames and creating a mesmerizing shine of beautiful colors through the darkness.

The other one is of Darkness - a mysterious and rather impossible construction of black bricks and blocks that would not collapse against all expectation.

And between them is a bridge / gate, that leads from the town of Humans to the Realm of Plants.

As the planet of that story is one of perpetual night, it was a real challenge

to make something visible without breaking with the night requirement :'D

I already painted Taif, one of the main characters from that story

He's just as peculiar as the rest of that World of Plants!

Also here are the first concepts made by the author/ my beta reader about the Two Towers from a while ago:

And on the right end of my painting there would be located the hill with the "Ufo", that has been also already depicted by my beta reader lately:
