Waiting For Your Rise

This piece was Inspired by the song "Farewell" from Apocalyptica.


Well, in a first place I want to say that I really tought this job will ever end wow, it was really a hard work, with lots of details and small parts to take care, I mainly try to reproduce the image as faithfully as possible with respect to the one that came to my mind from this beautiful song, and after so many hours in front of the computer, I am happy about that! it looks as came to my head now! : D. ... I am also happy because I had the opportunity to draw many things in this piece, the wings, the robes of the angels, steps, clouds, etc... because I was demanding in every detail and what it really was not like I wanted, I decided to draw it and in the end I enjoy every step of the process, it was really funny

Inspiration and Concept: This song is really a special song, because although it is a sad, dark melody, although it was not melancholic for me, I feel rather emptyness and emotional inertia to listen it.. as if the farewell take place on a dead soul, as if the pain had already rough everything and there was only a hollow inside.... then trying to translate feelings into a picture came to my mind this work with a small story ..... where a vamp, shortly after being reunited with the mortal who had been his true love, when she was still alive; and even though that she could just remember to watch their eyes what had meaning for him, even wanted to stay by his side forever .. the mortal still deeply love the beautiful vampire bu she did not want to punish him with eternal life been empty, he preferred to his love, knowing that this would die with one's death of that man! and after many prayers and supplications of the tormented man, she decided to bite gently on a small mausoleum surrounded by innocent fallen angels who grieve over the death of a pure love, under the cold moon between shadows and lonelyness ... just for wait for his dark rise that their love would have been extinct for eternity as well as the warmth of his body!... They be together forever ... but in the total and complete emptyness!... It is like "anything is better than to be alone" the love is love only when it exist and can i can be fel it, presence is not enough, sometimes it is futile when the presence dwells in a vacuum!!!
