Certainly, you might believe it to be happenstance that our paths have intersected, but creatures of the night such as us know better. The shiver up your spine and the twisting in the pit of your stomach has you all too aware that the predators are stalking you now. And so we ask you the question... do you consider yourself a vampire writer? Do you pen works of the undead - of immortal nosferatu or dashing gentlemen with twisted smiles? Are the bodies they leave in their wake enough to deter other visitors, or do their victims drift dangerously close, moths to the flame which might eventually snuff them out? If you compose their tales, be it in novel or short story - poem or vignette - then you are welcome to join our group. We have but a few simple requests of you: 1. Any works submitted to our gallery must be about vampires. How you choose to interpret the vampire mythology is up to you. Also, we are a literature-based group. No pictures, please. (Although we are happy to add visual pieces to our favorites.) 2. Fan fiction is permitted, but attribution to the source material must be given. 3. You must submit your work to the proper folder in our gallery. 4. Place your best foot forward. Take some pride in editing your work. After all, immortal works deserve to be fit for posterity. 5. Works containing mature content must be labelled. 6. All work will be evaluated by our moderators before allowed into the gallery. We reserve the right to decline any pieces not properly submitted. 7. How Could I Love You?
The scent of blood permeates the air. It is so thick that my senses are clouded. Dear God, what beast did this? All I can smell is blood.
Before me is the old abandoned mansion of the neighborhood. After much observation, I have noticed that no one goes near it. It is as if they can sense what is within. As if, they too, can smell the decay and the evil that has taken residence within the once beautiful mansion.
In my heart, I wonder if the creature within was once beautiful. I wonder if it once had intelligent thoughts. If it once wished for something more than a fresh kill in its hands. If it once had been as human as the girl that is now crossing the street.
I clench my fists, a grimace crossing my face. Why am I thinking this? Pointless chatter in my head. I'm wasting time. Within is the beast. Within is the thing that is at this very moment murdering an innocent human being. Someone who still has life. Someone who deserves to live! Yes, to live!

Rebirth of the Seer - Prologue
Prologue
From the first moment I laid eyes on him, I knew I was going to murder him. And I wished it to be a particularly bloody death.
While the statement could be called prophetic, I was certain of this only because I knew myself. He regarded me with skepticism as I entered his shop, making him more astute than most, and the wiser tended to meet a swifter demise than even my normal playthings. Still, I ignored the short, Asian man as he tracked my progress, knitting my hands behind my back and allowing my eyes to scan from one shelf to the next. Each piece – from the short swords to the eclectic collection of daggers – was a masterful work of art, but none held my attention more than the katanas. I drifted toward them as if being summoned.
"Can I help you, sir?" he flatly asked.
I stole a grin at the increased tempo of his pulse. "No, I am merely browsing," I replied. My focus was already locked on the Japanese steel as I became lost in admiration. I could not rememb

The Medium - Intro
Sometimes, he still dreams about the girl.
He is always blind in the dreams, must be blind, because there is no way it could be too dark for him to see. He is blind, but he can hear everything, feel everything, and reality dissolves.
She gasps when his hand closes over her mouth, and he can feel that tiny suction, then the wriggling and flopping as he holds her tightly from behind, muffling her screams with his flesh. He whispers desperate consolation in her ear until the feeble spell of his voice finally takes hold, and she relaxes into his arms, shivering with the sobs that cannot quite escape.
He tapes her arms and legs, wraps her in his jacket, and sits with her through the night. Her breath freezes on the air, and he can almost hear the chime of those ice-crystal clouds. His skin freezes and cracks. He would bleed, but he has no blood left, and the cold makes him tired, as if he were a reptile. He could almost sleep.
Sebastian is in the dream, too. He plucks the telephone away and

Welcome to those of you who dare to enter. It seems my pup has been a naughty boy and has snuck off to be with my cousin Dmitry again, leaving me in need of a plaything to amuse myself. Not just anyone will do because this is not an easy job. Those who would like the… -licks fangs- position… will have to submit proof to me. Give me your best shot or you will find yourself drained and left for the guard dogs to devour.
All of your delicious submissions will be kept in a special folder in my gallery and added to this journal. New tasks will be given in intervals.
Submissions should be as follows: Any art form including photos, digital or traditional art, or liturature. (So far I have only received lit submissions and am dying for some other forms of artwork.)
Rules:

Breanna was in the director's office of the Hadley School, a private academy her mother wanted to attend for her senior year, and she was not happy. While the adults talked, she was bent over a Vampire Knight manga. The way her thick long chocolate hair fell about her face, her look of utter disgust was concealed from them.
"Breanna is so bright." Her mother told the school director. "The public high school is unacceptable. She just hasn't been given the chance she needs to shine."
The school director flipped through Breanna's school records.
Breanna's mother continued. "The kids misbehave. The teachers don't care."
"Blah, blah, blah." Breanna thought to herself as she looked up from her manga and glanced around the director's large room. With its inlaid oak walls and ceiling-high bookcases holding thick leather bound books that must have dated two or three centuries ago, Breanna wasn't too sure this was the place for her. What

Tonight I was getting ready for bed and looked out my window at the trees and grass sparkling in the dew. "How lovely!" I exclaimed as I opened the window by my bed. I pushed it out so I could see better. When I did, however, I noticed a strange man standing in my yard. I was ripe with anger.

I usually try to space the submissions, but I don't check this every day, either. If you're giving me one a day, I can accept them a little at a time.
