one day i shall lay down and die
and so for now here is my kiss, my golden-ness,
my forehead pressed against yours
like two strange animals lost on a plain of
red sand. one day i shall lay down and die so
now here, let these birds pick me apart,
show you it all, the torn underwear
and the girl gazing at the soft glow
on trees, the ferocious lion-love
weeping under the kitchen table. one day
i shall lay down and die
so for now i feast on beaches, your breath,
the flutter of my dress sore against my skin

I went to the Bronx Zoo (NY) this past weekend, and apparently I still have a lot to learn about taking photos. 870 pics taken, and I like about 5 of them. LOL. But I'll blame it on most things being behind glass or not well-lit. >_>;; Another one of my interests lies in Photoshop, so I think I'll get creative with these photos and see what I can do!
I joined the WCS (www.wcs.org) so I'll be going back to all the zoos and aquarium often to practice my photography until I move out of NY next summer.
I've been interested in photography for years, but I was limited by my point-and-shoot. In an effort to get myself out of the house and get on with a new hobby, I splurged on a new DSLR and some lenses, and I'm happier than ever!
I've recently updated my gallery with my first outings. I'm still very much a beginner, but I'm having a lot of fun already!
Thanks everyone for your favs and comments! :) Stay tuned for more!
(And maybe one day I'll be able to come up with cute titles and descriptions for my photos... right now they're pretty boring... LOL)
Hi I see you have a lot of great animal shots in your gallery, and I've just created a group dedicated to animal photography. At the moment it is still "empty", but with your help it could grow! I would be happy to see your amazing work there! #AnimalsAroundUs
