While the last turn was going on, Thoth had taken a moment of his time to line all the females up in a row. He did this, hoping that it would help things run more smoothly than they had been before. It wasn't that things weren't going smoothly to begin with, but Thoth was a perfectionist. “The next person in line may come up now. It is your turn to participate.”
“O-oh, I think that's me. I'm coming.” Terribly nervous, to the point of shaking, you awkwardly stood from your seat and walked over to the row of lunch boxes. Wanting only to be out of the groups line of sight as quickly as possible, you chose your box at random. Inside this box, was a small, individually wrapped piece of candy. You had an idea as to who this candy belonged to, but to avoid embarrassing yourself, you simply announced to the other players what your item was. “My item is candy.”
“Then it looks like you and I are going to be partners for the next seven minutes.” Shoving himself away from the wall, Loki walked up to you wearing a mischievous smile and took your hand in his. “You can keep that candy by the way, I've got plenty more.” With a flirtatious wink, he led you into the kitchen.
“Thank you.” Out of all the partners you could have gotten, Loki was the one that you wanted the least. He was a known prankster and enjoyed embarrassing people. One thing you did not need help with, was embarrassing yourself. But, you had chosen his item, so you were going to have to make the most of this. “So, now what do we do?”
“You heard the rules, I shouldn't have to explain anything at all to you.” You had only been inside the large kitchen a couple of seconds and Loki was already suffocatingly close to you. “You were paying attention in there, right?”
“O-of course I was.” Awkwardly trying to create whatever space you could, you leaned as far back as you could without hitting your head on the cabinets above you. “You know, there really is plenty of room in here. You don't have to be so close to me.”
“If we're going to do this right, I do, but, if you want to get us both in trouble, fine.” With a nonchalant shrug, Loki pulled away from you and hopped up on the counter opposite of you. “I'll just let you explain why we disobeyed the rules. I'm sure you've got a reason.” He smirked. “For your sake, I really hope you've got a really, really good one.”
“Wait, what do you mean? I don't have a reason at all, at least not one that Thoth would be willing to accept. I didn't think I really needed to have one.” Terrified of getting into any sort of trouble, you stepped in front of him and folded your hands in front of your chest. “Y-you wouldn't really blame everything on me, would you?”
“Hey, I'm not the one keeping this game from happening, you are.” Loki looked down at you, smirking in an amused fashion. “I'm not about to go down for something I didn't do, so you'd better come up with something, and fast. If you don't, you're the one that's going to have to face Zeus here.”
For you, even worse than being embarrassed was getting into trouble. Knowing you couldn't possibly come up with any sort of reason before your time came to an end, you gave in and decided you had no other choice but to play. “F-fine, we can play this game then. Just please, don't do anything too crazy. I don't think I could handle it if you did.”
Loki dropped down from the counter onto the floor with a pleased grin on his face and slowly began backing you towards the apposing wall. As soon as you could go no further, he slammed his palms against the wall behind you and leaned down so that his lips were just barely touching yours. “You know, you asking me not to do something only makes me want to do it more.”
“O-oh. I didn't know that actually.” His closeness had turned your legs to jello and had caused your heart to pound so hard you could feel it in every part of your body. You had to focus with everything in you just to speak. “I'll try to remember.”
“Good, but it's too late now.” Before you'd had a chance to understand his words, Loki placed his hand on the nape of your neck and roughly began to kiss you. You were already feeling weak before the kiss, but now your knees threatened to give out altogether. Showing no signs that he had any intention of stopping before he was made to, Loki placed his free hand on the small of your back, bringing you even closer to him than you already were.
Just when you thought your legs were about to give way, Thoth entered the room. “That's enough Loki. You've proven your point, now let her go.” He checked of your names and waved you both out of the room. “You may both leave the building now.”
“Thank you.” Rushing past Loki, you exited the kitchen, then the cafeteria without looking back even once. As soon as you were outside, you took in a deep breath of the fresh, outside air. “That was just awkward. Still feeling shaky, even now, you reached into your pocket for the candy Loki had given you and placed it in your mouth, hoping the sugar would help. The moment the candy touched your tongue, your lips puckered and your eye began to twitch. “I-it's sour candy, I should have known.”
